Fire Details

The Waltham Fire Prevention Division assigns and provides "fire watch" details as required by various permit restrictions, hazardous conditions or life safety requirements. Examples of such details would be for cutting and welding operations, where sparks may start a fire. Other examples include fireworks displays and storage, or blasting operations. Fire details can range from a single fire fighter to an entire engine company (three fire fighters and one fire apparatus), all depending on the condition or type of hazard involved.
