Robert 'Bobby' P. Felt, 33

Waltham Firefighter Robert "Bobby" P. Felt, 33, of Waltham, died unexpectedly Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge.

He was the husband of Kathleen M. (Doherty) Felt for two years.

The son of Ronald H. and Jacqueline (Valentino) Felt of Waltham, he was born, raised and a lifelong resident of Waltham. A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1990, he furthered his education, graduating from Middlesex Community College with an associate's degree in fire science.

In October 1996, he was appointed to the Waltham Fire Department and issued Badge # 286. He attended the Massachusetts Fire Fighting Academy in Stow, graduating with Class 118. Following graduation, Mr. Felt was assigned to Group 2 at the Moody Street Fire Station in Waltham, where he served for the past eight years.

He will be remembered by family and friends for his contagious smile, enjoying life to the fullest, and most of all, for being a devoted and loving husband.

Besides his wife and parents, he leaves his brothers, Ronald J. Felt and his fiancee, Jennifer Cummings of Billerica and Mark D. Felt of Waltham; his grandparents, Frank and Geraldine (Letterio) Valentino of Watertown; his aunts, Jane Felt of Sandwich and Arlene Felt of Marlborough; his uncle, Frank Valentino and his wife, Linda, of Belmont; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Pauline (Veno) Doherty of Newton; his sisters-in-law and their spouses, Jacqueline Doherty and Daniel Kalashian of Waltham, Karen and John Bianchi of Needham, Susan and Charles Cononi of Waltham, Kristine and Robert Cotoia of Needham and Joanne and Marc Rizza of Waltham; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

He was the grandson of the late William and Anna Felt.

A funeral service was held Thursday, Sept. 2, at 9 a.m., from the Brasco and Sons Memorial, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of his life at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church. Burial followed at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
