Mission Statement
The Waltham Fire Department is dedicated to protecting life and property of citizens and businesses in the City of Waltham.

While this core mission has not changed much since the creation of the department, our day to day tasks have transformed dramatically with particular emphasis on life safety issues.  The role of the fire service has grown beyond putting out fires to include emergency medical service, hazardous materials response, vehicle extrication, techinical rescue, fire education, inspections, fire prevention and much more.
